From the Islands of Indonesia to the World: The Journey of Our Natural Treasures
In the early morning, as mist rises over the hills of Papua, farmers carefully hand-pollinate vanilla orchids — a process that requires both patience and precision. A few islands away, in Belitung, pepper farmers gently soak ripe berries, waiting for the skins to loosen before the sun dries the creamy-white peppercorns to perfection. These are the beginnings of every shipment that leaves Ananta Vijaya Bhinneka.
We’re more than just traders — we are storykeepers of the land. Every bean, oil, and spice we offer carries with it the soul of the archipelago — and the hands that brought it to life.
Vanilla Beans: Nurtured by Nature, Handled with Heart
Vanilla is not an easy crop. It must be pollinated by hand, cured by the sun, and massaged daily over weeks. But in return, it gives something extraordinary.
We work with smallholder farmers in Papua to bring you two exquisite types:
• Vanilla Planifolia: Classic and bold, with rich vanillin content. This is the vanilla you’ll find in premium desserts and gourmet kitchens worldwide.
• Vanilla Tahitensis: Delicate and floral, with hints of cherry and spice. Used in fine perfumery, artisan bakeries, and high-end culinary creations.
We don’t just buy the beans — we support the farmers through fair pricing, training, and long-term partnerships. Their craft deserves more than just a market. It deserves recognition.
In Sulawesi, a distiller checks his copper stills before dawn. The scent of patchouli rises in the air. In Java, clove leaves are harvested fresh from the tree, their oils waiting to be drawn out drop by drop.
Our essential oils — including Clove, Patchouli, Vetiver, and Citronella — are extracted from pure, indigenous botanicals and distilled with care. We ensure:
• Purity: No dilutions, no fillers.
• Traceability: You know where it came from and how it was made.
• Impact: Every liter contributes to a sustainable livelihood for local distillers and their communities.
Essential Oils: The Scent of the Forests
Down in the fields of Lampung, pepper vines climb tall poles. The sun here is strong, and so is the spice. Once harvested, the berries are sun-dried until they turn deep black and fragrant.
Our Lampung black pepper is pungent, earthy, and warm — a favorite for chefs who want depth and heat. It’s sorted, graded, and handled with care from farm to container.
Belitung is an island of quiet beauty, and its white pepper reflects that same elegance. The berries are soaked, peeled, and sun-dried — a traditional process that brings out a mild, clean flavor with subtle complexity.
Favored in light sauces, seafood dishes, and fine Asian cuisine, our white pepper is low in bitterness, high in aroma, and always ethically sourced.
